Geoffrey is a highly astute banking executive with strong experience providing world- class leadership in corporate banking. He possesses 30 years of experience working in challenging management roles providing bespoke solutions for some of Kenya’s most renowned banks.

He started in 1994 as a cashier and customer service clerk at Commercial Bank of Africa, now NCBA Bank PLC. He excelled in the roles and grew along industry ranks to Head of Corporate Banking at Prime Bank and previously, as Head of Business & Investments for Horizon Bank Limited, South Sudan, before crossing over to Kush Bank PLC.

His career progression based on merit is illustrative of his continuous improvement philosophy. Geoffrey is an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Affiliate Member, with an Executive Master of Business Administration, and a Certified Executive Coach & Mentor.

In his role, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for strategic planning, risk management, financial management, leadership & management, stakeholder management, compliance and governance, and business development.

Key to success in the areas highlighted above has been his ability to work with stakeholders in the design and implementation of business, client, governance, investment, and P&L strategies as well as the ability to execute through people. He offers a specialist pedigree in the areas of business strategy, change management, digital transformation, designing financial products, sales & marketing strategy, corporate governance, and organizational development.

Some notable career achievements include but are not limited to executing and managing strategy for Financing structuring, Liability Management, Transactional Banking & Foreign Exchange solutions across Debt, Trade, Cash & Liquidity Management to a portfolio of customers with an origination focus in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Somalia.

Significant Mergers and Acquisitions experience in the Kenyan Banking industry having been involved in 3 (three) major local bank transactions and a strong team player grounded in leadership and operational environments.
